Mrs Wood's class- Thursday & Friday
* Goldfinch will start swimming the week before February half term- information to follow
Mrs Senior's class- Tuesday swimming & Thursday PE
A full and warm PE kit should be worn to school on these days.
Homework
English and Maths- Handed out on a Friday to be completed and handed in before the following Friday.
Spelling- Spelling homework will be set each Friday to be tested the following Friday.
Reading- Your child should be reading at least 3 times a week for 10 minutes.

About Year Five....
In Year 5 we move into Upper Key Stage Two and the curriculum starts to prepare us for Year 6.
In Year 5, there are lots of exciting activities in the curriculum and new opportunities for the children to experience. During this year, the children also have the opportunity to take on roles within school to support younger children. The Playleaders organise games for younger children in the playground at lunchtime. We also have Happiness Heroes who take it in turns to be on duty on the playground at lunchtime to make sure all children are enjoying their breaktime.

Communication between home and school is best via email or notes in the home school diary. Reading minutes and homework can also be recorded in here.
